What to expect in Spain
Spain is in Southwestern Europe with some fragments of Spanish territory across the Strait of Gibraltar and the Atlantic Ocean. Its mainland region occupies a great percentage of the Iberian Peninsula. Also included are two archipelagos: The Canary Islands off the coast of Africa, and the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea.
Spain’s prevalent coastlines, unique landscapes, historical legacy, vivacious culture, and admirable infrastructure has made Spain one of the most visited countries in Europe, resulting to being one of the largest international tourist industries in the world.
The official language is Spanish, but other languages such as Galician, Basque, Aranès and Catalan are also spoken across the country. Some of the most frequented tourist places include Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, Seville, Málaga ,Valencia and Ibiza.
